Hush Puppies, the iconic footwear brand, are offering talented students and graduates internships in marketing.

Working in the UK Head offices of Wolverine Europe, in King’s Cross London, interns will gain valuable insight into how a global corporation operates.
We are looking for interns who are serious about pursuing a career in marketing, PR or communications. Candidates should have a passion for fashion and be able to demonstrate their interest in current social and cultural trends. This opportunity will suit students or those who have recently graduated.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This is an office based role but there may be the opportunity to get involved with events and a flexible attitude to working occasional evenings and weekends would be advantageous. The post holder is expected to work flexibly and respond positively to changing business needs.

We are looking for people who can spend at least 1 month in this role but we are willing to be flexible about the duration of which a candidate works with us. The upper limit of the internship offered is 6 months.
Hush Puppies will pay towards the successful candidates travel and expenses.

Hush Puppies Autumn Winter ‘09 collection is tipped for the top at MODA for the coming season. The new collection was recieved especially well at MODA footwear trade show in February gaining inclusion into the catwalk show hosted and organised by the show.

Taking inspiration from different cities from all over the world Hush Puppies was featured in the Reykjavik and Dublin scenes.

Hush Puppies is a quinquagenarian. Yes, we’re celebrating our 50th birthday and, momentarily, pausing for thought. Could we be a little out of touch, a smidge old hat? Horror of horrors!

We at Hush Puppies have always prided ourselves on being with it! Down with the kids etcetera. ‘Something needs be done,’ we said. ‘Perhaps we need a reality check!’

Cue Hush Puppies at Western-super-Mare - a glorious day, buckets of pear cider, and more top music acts than you can shake a stick at. That’s right, Hush Puppies were backstage at T4 on the Beach!

We joined a number of other brands in the ‘Talent Retreat’ (they don’t let any old riff raff in) and met with a great reception from the celebrities.

Basshunter, a charming lad, loved our boat shoes ‘Pioneer’, and we had a great chat with Carl Brat from Dirty Pretty Things who liked ‘Piccadilly.’ Nikki Graham from Big Brother, such a genuine character, took Ariana in red from our GDS range and Kelly Rowland the American singer who was previously with girl group Destiny’s Child, adored Adeline, also from our GDS range. And what a fillip to receive a request for Divinity, the Victorian ankle boot, from Alexa Chung. Hush Puppies were starry-eyed over an order from such a stylish celebrity!

After a day-long adrenaline rush Hush Puppies were tired but not at all down-hearted.

We realised that you don’t get to the grand old age of fifty without becoming good at what you do and picking up some loyal friends along the way.

It just goes to show, the old ones can still be the best!

ifty years later, in celebration of our 50th Birthday, Hush Puppies has partnered with two fashion-forward celebrity stylists, Phillip Bloch from New York City, and Rachel Fanconi from London.

Both designers have tapped their singular style and keen fashion sensibilities to create a special collection of shoes in the first ever Guest Designer Series from Hush Puppies.

Fanconi has provided the inspiration for the women’s collection and Bloch for the men’s. In the process, they have both captured what it means to be outright stylish and downright comfortable.
